My son and I arrived in Zagreb and were met by our tour guide Boris, at the airport. We were transferred to our hotel. After a quick shower, we went to lunch at a local restaurant called Kod Pere. This was our first meal in Croatia and it was delicious. We didn’t have any expectations and we were pleasantly surprised. We had the soup, veal with gnocchi, duck and a chicken cordon bleu meal. We sat inside as it was a bit chilly on the day. Service was great. Soup was on the house. Tips must be given in cash, as the card machines don’t accept added tips.
Thereafter we went walking around in the city and saw some of the sights including St. Mark’s Church, Cathedral of Zagreb, Upper town, Ban Josip Jelacic Square and a few more popular sights. A lovely first day in Croatia.
