Split is the 2nd biggest city in Croatia, is a blend of modern life and ancient history. One can see ruins from the Roman Empire or spend time at a café at the busy and popular waterfront. It lies on the Dalmatian coast.
If you visit Split, you should visit the Diocletian’s palace. It is an ancient palace built for the Roman Emperor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century AD, which today forms about half the old town of Split.
You should also visit the Klis Fortress, Grgur Ninski Statue and the Cathedral. Split is such a lovely city and I loved visiting it.
